Memorial Weekend at the River

As always, you had a great time at the river playing with your cousins, aunts, uncles, Gramp and Gran!  We also celebrated Gran's birthday while we were there!  Happy Birthday Gran!  We Love You!

VBS at the River

You stayed with Gran and Gramp the week after Memorial Day to go to Vacation Bible School at FBC of Pickensville.  Seger, Duke, Gunnar, and Creed stayed too.  Gran said that you had a wonderful time, but got tired about an hour before it was over.  I came back on Wednesday night and we stayed the rest of the week and weekend.  These are a few pictures that I took on Thursday morning before y'all left for VBS and then a few that Gran took while you were at VBS!

On Friday afternoon, we went swimming at Gran and Gramp's neighbor's pool.  You loved swimming with your cousins, but you really got excited swimming with the dog!!!  He jumped in the pool and y'all would race to get Oso!!!

After we went swimming, you and Mama went to Tuscaloosa to meet Keri for dinner and a little shopping.  We had a great time!  Thanks Keri for meeting us.  We will have to do it again SOON!  I know this isn't the best quality picture, but I didn't take my camera so this was taken with my phone!

On Saturday, the church had a block party for all the VBS students and Pickensville community.  Gran's clown group was there and you LOVED them!  You really loved getting your face painted and getting a balloon animal!

Picking out what you would like to have painted on your face!

Kisses for Gran

You were actually pretty still while your face was painted!!!
You found this mirror and you couldn't stop looking at yourself.  You carried it around with you all over the place!  You would just grin when you saw your beautiful painted face!
And you LOVED it!

Thank you Gran and Gramp for keeping you all week and to all of your cousins for their help!  We love you!

Avalon Pool Fun

I am definitely slacking this year taking pictures of our normal everyday life.  We go to the neighborhood pool A LOT, but I never take my camera.  You and I go sometimes twice a day and most of the time we have friends with us.  I did take my camera on this trip to the pool and I am so glad I did because I would hate to have missed catching these smiles!!!

Our neighbors, the Calvert's were there on this afternoon and you and Anna Lauren had a great time being thrown in the air!  Love these smiles!

Last T-Ball Game and YOUR TROPHY!

A few weeks ago we went to your last T-Ball game!  You participated about as much as you did in the last one!  Of course, I forgot your glove so it was hard for you to catch all those balls that came your way.

You did bat a few times, but still did not want to run to first base.  So you got a little help from the coach!!!

You are definitely my child because this is what you would prefer to do rather than actually playing the game!  Cheering on your team from the sidelines while drinking a nice big ice cold diet coke!  I think next year you will be a cheerleader unless you suddenly spark up an increased interest in ball!
After the game, we went with the team to Mazzio's to have a little award ceremony!  This was definitely your favorite part of the whole season!  You were SO EXCITED to get your trophy!

Everybody was excited to get a trophy!

And Mommy was super proud of you!!!

Even when we left Mazzio's, you would not let go of your trophy!  You may not understand the game yet and the practices and games may have been a little lot stressful for me, but the smile and excitement on your face made the season worth it!  We love you so much and are super proud of all the new things that you are working so hard to accomplish each day!  And I have to show you one more picture of just how proud you were of your trophy....

I'm not sure exactly when you decided to let go of it, but it is now proudly displayed on your bookshelf where I am sure lots more are to follow - maybe just not for t-ball!!! :)

Fun day on the Rez with the Segrest's and McKenzie's

We have been going out to the sandbar just about every Sunday afternoon with friends, but I just happened to take my camera this time!   You always have a great time playing in the water and LOVE riding in the boat!  For dinner, we took the boat to Cock of the Walk.  Fun afternoon with great friends!

Zoo Fun

We had a great time at the zoo with Ea, Hank, Millie Kate and Ava!  I still think your favorite thing about the zoo is the carousel!  Of course, the monkeys are a close second!!!

Just Us Girls at the Beach

During May, we went on our annual girl's beach trip.  This year Ames, Caroline, Christine, Blaine and Stacy went with us.  We went to Orange Beach and stayed at Phoenix West again!  We got there late afternoon and just went to the pool for a little while.  Then we just ordered in and ate at the condo.  Keri was at the beach too so she came to hang out with us. I know you will find this hard to believe, but mama did not take but a few pictures while we were at the pool and I didn't take any of us with Keri!  Here is one I got of you at the pool.

The next two days we played at the beach and pool all day.  We only went out to eat one time while we were at the beach.  This is definitely a first for us, but I loved it.  It was so nice just relaxing and not worrying about getting ready to go out.  We had a great time at the beach with the girls!!!  Can't wait to do it again next year!!!!
